2009 State Champions!
On Saturday November 7th, the Scott City High School Volleyball team brought back its very first State Championship, knocking off last year's champion, Hermann, in two sets, 25-19, 25-22. Scott City finished pool play on Friday afternoon with a 4-2 record, with both losses coming to Hermann, but because they defeated the other two teams in the Final Four, Maryville and College Heights Christian, they still earned a place in the State Championship game. The Rams made the best of their opportunity by taking down the perennial state power, and they did so in front of a large group of Scott City fans who made the six hour trek to Kansas City to watch the Scott City Rams take the 1st place trophy.
The Scott City School District, and the community itself, is extremely proud of the great accomplishment the Volleyball team earned over the weekend.
