Veterans Day 2011
The Veterans Day assembly, sponsored by the Scott City Middle School, took place November 11, 2011. The assembly, which was attended by every student in the Scott City school district, honored our country's veterans, and provided special recognition for those veterans able to attend. The assembly featured moving patriotic speeches from students, a performance of "Armed Forces Salute" by the band, during which each veteran was encouraged to stand during his branch's song, and captivating singing performances by the Elementary Honor Choir. Each veteran in attendance was given the opportunity to stand up before everyone, and give his name, as well as when and where he served. We thank the Middle School for their patriotic assembly, and Scott City Schools would like to thank all of our veterans who have served to protect our freedoms. Thank you very much! Subcategories |
