Technology Director - The Scott City R-I School District is seeking applications for the position of Technology Director for the 2018-2019 school year. This position calls for an enthusiastic and talented individual who can oversee the transformation of the technology of the district into the future. The applicant must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in a computer-related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Also required is the ability to work with administration and faculty to implement and train on new technology and to identify appropriate solutions to meet classroom and staff needs. The applicant needs to be able to work with E-Rate to maximize the technology opportunities available to the district. Candidate should be proficient and have a working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Apps for Education.

Essential Job Functions include: administering the district’s systems for the purpose of ensuring availability of services for authorized users; overseeing the operation of the network center; installing and maintaining network software on a variety of platforms; upgrading network and server hardware as needed to provide for efficient service; troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software systems; working with administration on preparing a prospective technology budget and five year plan to identify appropriate solutions to meet classroom and staff needs; project management skills; wireless network support; and ability to analyze return on investment in evaluating technology options.

This is a twelve month position with two weeks of paid vacation. The salary range will be $50,000-$60,000 based on experience and qualifications, along with Board-paid health insurance and benefits.

Elementary Art - Scott City R-1 has an anticipated opening for an Elementary Art Teacher. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to lead our fine arts department. Substitute RN's needed - Must pass background check, complete an employment application, provide references, & proof of nursing license. Experience is pediatrics is preferred, but not required. Would be expected to provide nursing care to students in the absence of the full time nurse.
