Robotics teams

Scott City Robotics competed in two qualifiers this year. They first competed at Meramec Community College in St. Louis and the following week at Selvidge Middle School in Ballwin, Missouri. At each qualifier they competed against approximately 30 other teams. Both teams did well and gave an excellent effort.

Members of the Robo Rams are Cole, Wesley, Christine, Jacob, Graydon, Amanda, and Lauren. Members of The Other Guys are Matt, Dillon, Nick, Will, Jake, and Brandon. Cole is the only senior on either team and is a three year member of Robotics. Cole has done an awesome job with the programming, helping both teams score points in the autonomous part of the matches and mentoring other students who wanted to learn programming.

Robotics creates the opportunity for students to design, build and program robots. It allows them to apply real world math and science concepts as well as learn how to test and revise ideas. It provides the opportunity to develop problem-solving, organizational and team-building skills. Robotics is open to any High School student that is committed to success.
